Internet poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with 21 than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer declares "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other gamblers are given five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the casino's 1st card, you must in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager's value is on same level to your original ante, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantaneously to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the bank doesn't have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus an amount on par with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer's hand. The casino pony's up money equal to your ante and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
