Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old origins. Based on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the croupier, not like nearly all other poker games that players wager with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginner players do not need to worry about any other, more experienced players taking their money.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, newcomers should be able to take their time and strategize without having to make quick choices.

It is also much simpler to enjoy for a long time with only a little bit of cash seeing as, to not win, each of your hands must be under both of the casino's hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the croupier receives 7 cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer's.
